Overview

ISO/IEC 17024:2012 is the second edition of the ISO/IEC 17024 standard, replacing the 2003 version. It defines the requirements for a Certification Body (CB) that certifies individuals, focusing on ensuring impartiality, fairness, transparency, and competence-based assessments.

 

This 2012 revision enhances global confidence in personnel certifications and ensures that certified individuals are objectively evaluated.

Eligibility Criteria

According to ICM’s certification policy and ISO/IEC 17024 requirements, candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have the minimum academic qualification relevant to the certification scope (as stated in the scheme document)

  • Possess relevant industry experience where applicable

  • Submit valid identification (passport, IC, or equivalent)

  • Provide supporting documents such as academic transcripts, professional licenses, or employment records

  • Agree to follow the Code of Conduct for certified persons

  • Consent to the use and verification of personal data for certification purposes
